The hands-on approach to lower back pain

There’s little doubt that massage helps relieve pain, but researchers disagree about why it works. New research shows that regular massage can be an effective and lasting medical treatment for low- back pain. A scientifically rigorous study of massage, recently published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, followed 262 back pain sufferers. ¬†After 10 weeks the massage group reported a 47 per cent improvement.
